Great-grandson of Francis Bull Shoe Sr.Thunderrain Publishing is a small Indian-owned business, started by Roland, the grandson of Francis Bull Shoe, Sr., who saw the unique opportunity to preserve the stories told by the Blackfeet Elders and the unique opportunity to preserve an old form of the Blackfeet language. The original idea was to preserve the stories for Roland's children and give them the opportunity to hear the Blackfeet language spoken. Realizing this would be a great opportunity for all to have a glimpse of Blackfeet history, Thunderrain Publishing was born!

Thunderrain is the Indian name given to Roland when he was a sophomore in Browning High School by Blackfeet Elders, John No Runner and his wife, Annie No Runner.

Thunderrain Publishing is working very hard to get the Blackfeet language stories translated to English and out to the public. The goal is to have these oral histories available in schools, universities, and libraries throughout the United States and internationally.
