Blackfeet Oral History is a collection of 33 Blackfeet Elders telling stories of their life on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and stories of Blackfeet Oral History of various events dating back to the late 1600s, 1700s, 1800s, and 1900s. Stories are told in a Blackfeet dialect that is becoming lost and no longer spoken because of evolutional changes in language. Blackfeet Oral History captures stories, events, life stories that were passed down from one generation to another through storytelling. These stories will be translated to English, which is very unique.

As young Blackfeet children we were all subjected to our elders telling us stories that captivated us, as these were stories of life lessons, history of our family names, how we were to practice the ways of our elders to keep our families strong and our lineage alive. Through modern times, we have lost our ability to understand what they were telling us.

These CDs will provides us with a glimpse of a past that was true, things did happen, life was hard, and a unique chance to once again hear the stories.
